Continuing The Fight

Post by 22sec »

I think there would be a lot of potential for attracting certain potential customers if you could somehow continue or evolve the fight. So much of modern warfare is about sustaining, albeit in short, quick, violent burst. I think it would add to the sim if game saves could be edited in the mission editor, and/or playing an evolving operation inside the editor itself; ala what one can do in Command. I suppose another possible angle, although I am not very familiar with, would be similar to Arma3 Zeus mode. I can even imagine a scenario where there is a referee and participants on both sides. At a minimum, the ability to edit save game files in the mission editor would expand upon the game's current system, which would allow users to still fight on-going operations in a mostly fluid manner. I also think that opens up the logistics discussion, and for professionals that needs to be included, or least that's my opinion. [8D]

So, basically, you are talking about creating a new battle out of the existing savegame?

Yes

... which would allow Armored Brigade to become the tactical arm of a "Franken-game" set up. Another game, ATG, TOAC, whatever, would be the "op map" or operational arm.

Or you could give us that op map, built in to Armored Brigade 2.

We can dream.
