What does "Infantry cost" mean in the Terrain under Mouse info? I think there's also Artillery / Cavalry cost.

zakblood,

Not sure I understand your explanation. When you say "how much it would cost", are you referring to MPs? Most hexes DO NOT include Inf / Cav / Art "Cost" message at all, and when the message is included there's no indication of MPs, it just says "Inf cost" for example. It doesn't effect game play, I was just wondering what the message meant. Again, thanks for your help, appreciate it.

Sorry, forgot to respond sooner to this thread. It sounds like you are seeing hexes that have been modified via the map-editor's override function, which we use when the terrain is slightly different from one of the generic terrain types. Aceous, are you sure that the hexes in question were empty, or might they have shown a different-looking vegetation? If you post a screenshot I can tell you what's happening. (This system gives us far greater flexibility in terms of nuanced terrain, and our hope is that by looking at the map you will see that the terrain somewhere looks a bit different and check its values)

Somewhere in the forum is a screenshot I posted very soon after release in which I showed a half-dozen or more vegetation types at Wilson's Creek. Worth consulting to get a sense of this.

I didn't look at that particular hex, but the presence of a defensive override means I was trying to fine-tune the terrain type. See the image I posted here:
