Campaign Series: Middle East v3.00.02 Public Beta Now Available

Post by MaximKI »

Hello everyone,

Please try this new beta and let us know if it helps your game. To install this update you can download from this link HERE or by going to your Campaign Series Middle East File Downloads in the Matrix My Page section of the webite or from the game's store page.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We have seen a number of reports of a white screen issue that seems to be mostly affecting laptops with hybrid GPU setups (e.g. Intel + Nvidia). This public beta includes a code fix that we're hoping will address the vast majority of cases. If you're still experiencing a white screen issue, we recommend updating your Intel Graphics Drivers to the latest version. Please see this link and associated thread for more info HERE.

Changes in 3.00.02 (March 31st, 2025)

Enhancements
• Added a code segment to resolve an issue where some users encounter a “white screen” map in game dialogs. The issue is related to Intel drivers in hybrid systems (typically Nvidia + Intel), mostly affecting laptops. The new code now forces the use of AMD and Nvidia graphics cards by default, unless the users choose otherwise. Note: due to unique system configurations, this solution may not cover all cases.
• The game launcher now starts both the Scenario Editor and Organizations Editor in non-encrypted mode (using the command line parameter -X) to support editing user-created content.

Fixes
• Added a few missing Iran 3Dxs unit images.
• Corrected several 2D terrain map images that had incorrect colours.
• Fixed a bug that could cause a crash to desktop when an aloft enemy air unit was present at the target hex during certain Assault combat results.
• Fixed the CanAscend() check so that passenger Action Points no longer affect the outcome.

Hey Zovs, I did do a lot of the updates in the manual for this based on your recommendations. THANK YOU for that.

The only thing I didn't adjust was the Lua section with the Vietnam references.

BTW that was one of the fastest and easiest updates to a game I have done in a long while.
