scenario securing Habilayn

Post by myMatrixGames »

Hi,

New player, really enjoying the game, but one of my earlier tries which should have resulted in a major victory gave me a defeat.

I've captured every victory location and killed every enemy and I lose. In return I think I've lost a couple of land rover steps and maybe a 63 commando step. I'm missing something, is it the 45 Commando commander? It doesn't set up into a command post like the limited documentation says and it doesn't provide a command radius, is that what I'm missing?

Thanks

Don't forget that the victory condition is designed for the first side.

So if the bad guys start the scenario and you're playing the second side, then you were the one who secured a major victory while the first side had the major defeat.

Now, that being said, I'll have to review the scenario to make sure all is copasetic.

Thanks for the fast reply.

I've done a little better on another playthrough, minor defeat, it looks like when I placed my 45 Commando / Commander 3 unit together with my Battalion HQ unit on hex 27,15 a HQ unit was created and maybe a few more victory points were collected.
I am going by the 45 Commando F2 unit description which says 'this unit establishes a level 3 command post'. The procedure is not in the manual, so I just tried to get them together in the same space, does that sound correct?
If so I just need it to happen earlier so I can collect enough victory points to at least not lose.

Thanks
