Grainy Graphics

Post by ahscheiner »

Hello: I just downloaded the game and it displays in very grainy, washed out graphics. This is apparent on the menu and scenario screen, but even worse in the game map. Also in the scenario screen the text exceeds the size of the text box. It does not matter what view style is used on the map -- the problem is the same. I have played the game before in its prior versions and there were no such problems, so this must be a bug or compatibility problem. I have a Windows 7 Machine with an Nvidea video card Geforce GTX 560 that has no problems. Is anyone aware of this issue or how to fix it? I tried to post a screen shot but it did not permit me to do it. Thanks for any help, Alan

I'm running the exact same specs without a problem.

Hmm. Try making sure your graphics card drivers are updated?

Perhaps it's a Windows display scaling issue? It can have some weird graphical effects if not running 100%. Windows 10 seems better at dealing with it though.

Unfortunately setting the DPI scaling to 100% only fixed a small part of the problem, with the text in the scenario screen. I am hoping that someone in tech support can fix the problem or I will not be able to play the game, which I would really like to do. But thanks for trying, Alan

Have you opened a ticket with Matrix Support?

This forum is a place where we as the Dev Team will try to help everyone out, but the issue you have starts to sound like a profound OS / drivers type of an issue they might be better versed to assist with.
