RE: Steam Release??
Most of the last titles if not all them were released for Steam. But at my opinion to buy a game from Slitherine, directly in Steam is a lose of possibilities. I prefer to buy it in Slitherine store and next to get the steam key for free. Why? because Slitherine most of the times need internet and I play sometimes without internet. The non-steam game does not need a lobby or other thing.
RE: Steam Release??
Thats exactly why i always buy at matrix or slitherine.
RE: Steam Release??
I've played every close combat game starting with A Bridge Too Far. I've never used Steam or an internet connection to play. If this is a requirement now, it'll be a game ender for me.

The Steam client always tries to connect online but gives you the option to play offline.

I feel like you guys misunderstand how steam works. Steam does connect to the internet, but the internet is not required to play. You can play steam games in off-line mode. I do this all the time when I travel. Think of steam as a giant online store with built in lobby if you want to meet ither people and play multiplayer. If you don’t want to be online, you don’t have to be.

you can switch steam to "offline mode" and play all your games without an internet connection.

I does not at 100% because you need a identity proof running at 100% and if your Steam was not connected to internet each some of time, it will not work. Other point, not all the games run at offline mode.ORIGINAL: Anachro

However, tell me how many people have not these days a phone and he can not use it for to link a computer to internet. The data consume without download anything is minimun.
These look as a joke from another universe. The 99% from the games are downloaded. If you get them in a disk, you will not need internet with perhaps a multiplayer activation or some like that. Anyway, your requirement look as some from other universe, everybody use Steam, Origin and another lobby.stop giving the games to steam not everyone has internet

Steam has a number of issues in this discussion. I have run games in offline mode but it is not a guarantee that it will work. Quite often it will want to verify the installation and that needs internet connection.

Slitherine has a better option, you can buy their games in their store and to get freely a steam key for your games. Better impossible.ORIGINAL: GrizzlyKt

With exception from download it, I can not imagine somebody with a so bad net line these days for to connect the steam lobby. I open the lobby many times with my phone line and if you do not download anything, it consumes very few.Steam has a number of issues in this discussion. But I have said up because Steam with Slitherines games is not a problem. They do not make exclusive releases from Steam. If they add the game in Steam, you will be able to buy the game in Slitherine store and to get a free steam key if you want.
In fact I can imagine how the unique reason adding the game in Steam is to get more players and I can not see this as a problem. More players always is good.

#1 You guys are bananas if you think you need an Internet connection to play a Steam game --> Offline Mode Exists.
#2 You guys are bananas if you think this game is actually getting released anytime soon.

Not a particular issue for me. I think it profits matrix more to buy from them if that is the way it works.
