Serial not recognized

Trying to connect to multiplayer and it says that my serial isn't recognized?

In the normal version it doesn't recognize the serial.
In steam it doesn't let me enter the lobby.

If anybody more has the problem, can it be resolved creating a txt file named TBF.txt in the main game folder with the serial inside?

Tried TBF.txt with SN inside...still get your SN is invalid....in the upper right of screen i see my serial number with the last 3 characters truncated...checked registry and its all there.


This is the direct download version, not steam...

make sure you type manually and not copy paste them if you have added it yourself etc

as copy paste can take over spaces even one extra one will make it faulty

Retyped manually TBF.txt filename. still truncates last 3 digits of the serial number.

I have a steam version on another computer that works fine.

The TBF file is no longer used and so isn't going to help with any issues. If you are still having issues after a reinstall then please contact support and they can dig into your issue more.

So the registry entry contains the full serial number? There should be a CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst.txt file in your install folder with the serial in it too - is this also correct?

Uninstalled from control panel...
Checked and registry removed.

Reinstalled, verified full sn was correct during install.
Multiplayer still truncated, shows only last digit of last 4.
Yes to CloseCombatTheBloodyFirst.txt with full correct SN
Registry reappeared with full correct SN

I have been able to start and play non multiplayer

Just tried to re-install as I bungled the first install and it would not accept the serial number. I did uninstall. Also I never received a receipt of order. I used pay pal and got that receipt. i had to manually write the serial number

How do you fix the steam version? I het the same serial number issue with steam.

For others reading this...in case you didn't now yet...a new patch is already available. Its fixed the truncated Serial Number in Multiplayer...I am solved on Digital Download version.

How do you find your serial number in steam? I noticed that in my matrix games profile, the game does not show up as being assigned to my linked steam account.

Also I noticed on my page on both slitherine and matrix stores, the game does not show as owned even with steam account linked.
