New CC suggestion

The CC-serie is my personal all-time favorite game, and I would like to suggest making a new sequel for this great game-format, be it in its classic 2D style or using the new 3D engine.

I would propose that an entirely new setting is chosen, instead of Europe! For example, why not the pacific, with the US troops (mainly marines) invading & fighting on the Japanese islands? North-Africa could also be a good candidate, although i must admit that the maps there would be more open and thus less ideal for the more infantry-centered gameplay that CC is famous for.

Any other ideas, please share!

Close Combat "The Bloody First" is a new version of Close Combat now in development, which hits most of the points you mention.
