Gateway to Caen or Panthers in the Fog?

Looking to pick up a close combat as a present to myself, any suggestions as to which one is better?

it depends, both are great games, i was on the beta for Gateway to Caen, so that's a later version, but tbh it depends on which battle you prefer tbh, you won't make the wrong choice getting either, where as the right choice if money ok, would be to collect them both[;)]

Bath games are good, but I recommend Gateway to Caen for its rolling artillery and wider variety of armor units. If it's any concern, Panthers in the Fog has US forces as the Allies while Gateway to Caen has British forces, thereby the variety of armor units. One last note; historically I feel Gateway to Caen is more tense than Panthers in the Fog.

Thanks, i was leaning towards Caen being from the UK.
