Uninstalled GTC, Reinstall serial number shows invalid

I uninstalled GTC because of crash prone behavior as of late. When I attempted to reinstall I used the serial # on the dish, but get an invalid serial # message.

make sure you don't take over any spaces and type it exactly as printed on the disk, if there is still an error, try the one which is registered in your account in the support forum members page

My mistake. I didn't include the dash marks between the number groups.

I was trying to add my DVD version of my 2 Close Combat games (Gateway to Caen & Panthers in the Fog) to Steam and the serial number printed on the DVD does not authorize for Steam. I added dashes and did without dashes.

Is the Steam version just something I would have to buy again even though I purchased a DVD version of the Close Combat series?
