Uniforms and Effects

Im wondering how the Uniform.txt works. I can swap uniforms by using existing models, but how do I make my own? All I see are random numbers and letters which make no sense to me.

I also wonder how I edit the effects file, thats where the ingame VL maps are right? I need to change them but how do I do that?

EDIT: After some messing around I have at least figured how the uniform collums works (riflemen bodys, SMG/MG pants, helmets and weapon colours etc...) but I still don't know how those number/letter combinations works to give a specific colour.

EDIT: No-one knows the answer to my question? Or are the know-alls' taking a vication? [;)]

There is a guide to this somewhere; a Rosetta stone which turns numbers into colours.
