Does MT run "clean" on Vista?

I read that CoI needed 1) "win98 mode", 2) MSJVM installed. Does the same apply for MT?

And copy-protection is the same as for other Matrix titles, i.e. the usual serial number?

I'm on Vista and it runs fine so far.
Copy protection is the usual serial number before you start to install.

I've had no problems running it on Vista and I'm using 1600x1200 mode with no apparent performance issues.

The game starts, loads, plays, and exits quickly.

Out of the box HP system (+ 256 graphics card) with Vista.

No problems running it with a stock install.
