Another thing that would be really nice is the ability to set "Pre-loaded" groups. I hate changing my formation every engagement such as my Stryker platoon and support section.

Something the game really needs is a better zoom function. As is, it's really hard to keep track of one's forces and those of the enemy.

So you cant even add a GC using the simple battle data array that MMCC3 ran off???

That's what I was thinking too.

Has there ever been an official explanation posted as to why the campaign was never added in the first place?  If it was so they can add multiplayer then why not just release a version for multiplayer only and one with a GC?  The lack of a campaign (and from what I've read here the total unwillingness to even think about adding one) is the main reason I won't be buying this game.

Another thing, Opfor vehicles turn to face defend/ambush direction. Army only turns armament/turret. Anyone else notice this?

Awards for actions. I know its petty but man I miss seeing PVT Snuffy get his Silver Star for several acts of heroism. Purple hearts for wounds, etc....

All others above recieve my endorsement.

You are correct on that one...It was looked at, but I'm not sure if a solution was found. Also, regarding the Stryker CV Passengers, I looked at the data, and currently it is set to '0' in the passengers column (column DV if you are using Excel).

I looked this up Both the Bradley and Stryker CV in my file, Column DV is "2". Still broken, I looked for hours for a fix...

The Stryker carries a dismounted command crew. And the "CAV scout team" is I think meant to ride in the M3A3 "CAV" vehicle. The manual states both carry (2).

I checked it in my mod - it's hardcoded that Command Vehicles can't carry any passengers.

On another note... I created Stryker squads with the following. Works great, frees up 3 slots in my roster.

Stryker Rifle Squad
9 soldiers
2xM249
2xM4+M203
1x M4+Predator
4xM4

Stryker Weapons squad
8 Soldiers
2xM240
6xM4

That's interesting. How such setup works in CCMT? Does it suffer from lesser flexibility than fireteams?

Less flexibility, but it concentrates the firepower a little better and makes keeping track of your forces a little easier especially if you want to run a mechanized infantry formation. Not much different than the OPFor 10 man squad. It's just basicly combining 2 fireteams together.

I'm also using the TO&E from an Actual stryker Platoon. My typical force goes like this:

3xStryker rifle squads(3x9)
1xStryker weapons team(8)
1xCommand team(6)
3X Stryker IC with .50
2x Stryker with AGL
1x Stryker 105mm (or) Stryker TOW
1x Stryker MC
1x SpecOps .50 (Carries cav scout)
1xCAV scout
1xsniper team (or) 2 man Javelin team

Interesting, Raven, however the US forces rarely need that additional firepower unless you are looking for a weighted kill/loss ratio.

Even as far back as CC2, the standard German OOB 10 man squad was always broken down into a seven man rifle team and a seperate three man LMG team.  What you are gaining in massed fires sacrifices the principles of fire and maneuver and part of game play.

I'm personally not interested in playing with your new teams.

The Stryker with .50 cal attached and supporting fills that role. Also its great for getting the team out of a nasty situation quickly. Such as when the AI goes nuts with his mortars, my men last alot longer if they mount and move out than wait it out.

ANother thing I noticed both playing and looking through the vehicle.txt file is the lack of a coax 7.62mm on the Stryker MGS.

Ok, you are right. I flat missed the coax, plus there should be an exposed to fire 240. All I can say is that when I developed the data a year ago, the MGS wasn't deployed and the information on it was still spotty. Of course, I could have just bozzoed it.

I hope the Patch people will take note!

If this is the first mention of the missing coax mg, it is not likely to be in the patch....as the files for the installer were turned in 2 weeks ago
If it does not have a gun, it cannot be fun.
