This time it's Montanyans vs. Centralians.
The village of Khaman is one of numerous bases of Centralian drug dealers and bandits. They went too far when they kidnapped and murdered a famalily of a Montanyan businessman.

A platoon of heliborne infantry gets dropped near the village with a mission of bringing them to justice.
They follow the organization of OPFOR infantry platoon. Each squad has two UBGLs and two RPK-74 LMGs.
Platoon's weapons squad has three PKM GPMGs.
An AGL from weapons company is attached.
Mi-24s that brought them there are loitering around and will provide fire support.
Actually, Mi-24s are the ones that will do most of the killing. The infantry is to make sure that no one comes out of here alive.

Centralian forces are a local mafia and some civilians (their families?) that support it with food and labour.
They only have one squad of professional soldiers and one HMG.

My deployment.

First contact.

Air support.

Firefight

More air support.

Even more air support.

And I intended this report to be serious... I guess I watched too much South Park.

Firefight.

I run out of any visible armed targets so I send a Mi-24 to destroy a hut full of enemy civilians.

Overall situation.

It should be said with Cartman's voice.

A firefight.

End of the firefight.

A HMG team started firing at my units and I used suppressive fire to keep them from killing anyone. AI loses a lot because it doesn't use the suppressive fire. Gee, even the AI in Firefight (1998) could do that.).

A typo.

So, the enemy is completely defeated, right?

Wrong! My soldiers step on a pinned down enemy team and don't attack it for two minutes.

Which results in this.

Luckily, they don't manage to kill all my soldiers like it usually happens in such situations.

The enemy is almost defenceless now.

Just like I like it.

Sometimes hitting the target requires a lot of bullets, just like in reality.

Which is why this game is called Close Combat.

Mission completed.
It's a shame that that soldier got seriously wounded in such stupid way, but the losses were on acceptable level.
