Damp fought for a day on the following maps before fleeing. He did this basically until the final map so these while just be quick result posts.

This one was actually quite the slugfest. Some good positioning by both of us allowed for some intense battles.

Damp left the eastern side of the map completely empty...I had deployed my troops in a broad scouting line to see where I would make contact. When I reach the bunker clearing and nothing had happened I knew the fight lay across the river. What a fight the following days were....

Well into the fight. I've already captured the bridge VL. However nobody is left alive after doing so. This region would come more and more to look like the moon in following days.
His AT gun in the woods to the north managed to brew up quite a few tanks on the road.

Burned out IS2 and T-35/85 on the northern end of the bridge. Lots of bodies on the bridge itself.
I did manage to destroy a jagdtiger in the southern woods. Along with an AT gun in the north.

Damn AT guns in the north killed several tanks on the road...
Another expensive day...

Pushed a bit farther inland...captured the pillbox after one hell of a fight. Another day that was expensive for little ground.

On this day I had my final plan laid out. I was going to destroy whatever forces Damp had in the south. I'd then turn those forces north and use troops I'd kept on the northern perimeter as a fresh attacking force to push him into a small pocket.
In the south the woods was a hell of a fight with tanks exchanging close fire. Infantry encirclements and running flank attacks. I managed to force my way down the road to capture the VL. I knew this would split the deployment areas and screw him over on the final day into a small pocket in the north. The battle in the south had been harder than I'd of wanted (the game had crashed on our first attempt on this day so Damp had a good idea of my strategy since I'd basically rolled him up before it crashed...when I was trying to get a great action shot [:@] so when I turned north the going was tough.
After pushing him into a small pocket we agreed to a cease-fire.

On the last day his deployment area looked like the pocket seen 2 posts above. I knew he would use it all so I deployed on both sides of the river with good attacking forces. I was infantry heavy because of the woods.
I pushed from both sides for several minutes before a final battle was fought near his last VL. I suffered some armor losses and some infantry losses.
He had an AT halftrack kill an IS2 at 60m which really pissed me off. I managed to get a T-34/85 into the clearing to support the IS2 and it ravaged the rest of his halftracks.
I pushed his pocket to nothing and that was that.
DOF2 GC completed.

Damp really started to get better the last 3 ops. He easily killed 15 IS2s.
It was great fun. We are moving onto WAR's GC next.
Thanks for following!

We just started a WAR GC, but don't think we are going to do an AAR for it, although you never know.
