CCModSwap

Post by SteveMcClaire »

Attached is the legacy CCModSwap utility from the original release of Close Combat Cross of Iron. It is available for backward compatibility with old mods.

The latest release of Cross of Iron supports the /D command line switch, which allows mod files to exist alongside base game files without the need to overwrite them.

Windows 10 gives me a warning if I try to run that exe.

Also the version of modswap shows v1.0, wasn't there v1.2 and v2.0 already released???

Windows will warn you that CCModSwap uses Admin permissions since it tries to access the registry, yes. Without re-coding the utility considerably there's no way to avoid this.

The version I posted is from the original release of Cross of Iron. There was a CCSyCon.EXE that was an updated modswap that was provided with Modern Tactics, but I think that's the only update that was made.

Is there a specific problem that you've run into with using it?
