DPI is only used or needed if you have a none default DPI in windows 10 eg higher than the standard 96DPI

run as admin again is not a dupe, it's to give a higher level of UAC and also gives the game longer for some processes

games works straight out of the box with latest updates / patch's applied, works in windowed mode and supports up to 1920x1080, but if not in a window can cause some issues alt tabbing in and out so best find one that suits your screen size, for me my default is 1920x1080 so went down a bit a selected windowed mode and altered the settings shown. ga,es works fine as long as you follow the guides and alter the settings to suit.

enjoy the games[&o]

Hi, Zak, and thanks.

I went through your steps above (including the 55014b update), and was fine with the sequence until I got to here. But when I click "Play Game," I still get the distorted, neon-tinged game window, rather than normal graphics. (See attachment.)

I also tried to bypass and get to "Options" because I could still make out the text on the button ... but then I got what you'll see in the second attachment: an interface blown up so big that both the top and bottom of the window (the most important parts, of course) are cut off. (I'll send that in a second message.

So I'm kind of dead in the water. I checked the Matrix website for additional, more recent updates (like the 2018 patch for "Last Stand: Arnhem"), but struck out there, too.

For specs, I'm running a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon with Win10 (64-bit).

Any ideas?

Tom

Big thank you to zakblood for the great configuration tips!

Although Pitf and GtC mostly fall onto Windows 10, the earlier releases all took some startup properties tuning to get running. For me, TLD was the toughest. Thanks to these tips, I got all 4 early favorites running and didn't have to leave any title behind.

Nice job zakblood!

I am getting an absolutely ridiculous message and the game is refusing to start.

'Unable tos tart the programme because your video card does not support at least 800x600 16 bit resolution

It's ridiculous because I can get it on this PC and also I am play other the other Close Combat games like Panzers in the Fog and Arnhem!

BTW I am Windows 10 and hav done all the above!
