Pausing the Game

Okay, I'm new at Close Combat so bear with me. Is there any way to pause the game once it has started?

Use the Esc key (I think)

press the F3 key pause/unpause

esc will ask if you want to exit the game

But then you click on "No" and carry on when you're ready.

But use F3 if you want to Alt-Tab out, if I use Esc instead i cannot go back and have to restart the game.

and when you are playing online and your connection slows press the F3 key pause/unpause and it can help the game catch up...can be help full sometimes.

every games have pauses and plays, why you are asking this one? i guess you don't know how to play the game, you better read the instructions

What benefit do they derive from posting here? Is it something to do with web presence and search engines?

F8/Options also pauses the game with the advantage that the Options dialogue box can then be dragged offscreen which allows the game screen to be viewed in full.
