Game is Unplayable

I'm have repeated freezes and hard crashes resulting in my system rebooting. This is a system that can play any MMOG on the market today, can play Far Cry or Metal of Honor or any other shooter without any problems. There is no reason to be having problems with a game that has 10 year old graphics.

Needless to say, I'm not very happy with having paid 40 bucks for a game and finding out it's unplayable. I've always had good luck with Matrix in the past, I've bought multiple games from here and have never had any problems. Now I have a game that is unplayable and unreturnable and I'm unhappy. I hope that Matrix can find some way to make this right.

Just an update. I've tried multiple fixes to get this game to run with no results as reported in the extreme crashes thread. I submitted a request for help to support 48 hours ago with no response so far. I'd love to have my money back, but Matrix has a no refund policy so I'm out $40 for a game that doesn't work. I've had great dealings with Matrix in the past, but I'm going to have to think long and hard about buying another game from them if something isn't done to make this right. I know they won't miss my money much, but it's the principle of the thing.

Based on the system specs, you could be running into the video card heat problem that you have reported. I believe in that thread the 7900GT was reported by someone else as getting very hot. Do you know if your video card temperature?

Among other things it addresses the small number of reports of hot graphics cards.

They asked for a attached copy of my dx diag yesterday instead of the cut and paste copy I gave them. Other than that I'm still waiting. Thanks for keeping on top of this Andrew.

the beta exe fix is all but ready.

None of our 25 test machines suffer from overheating althoughthe temp does rise.

The new exe has stopped the rise on the test machines (one actually became cooler?????)
