16 Day GC vs. UltraGott

Post by Platoon_Michael »

I haven't played online in years so hopefully my lack of skills doesn't show up early.
We are playing a 16 Day GC with the latest patch.
UltraGott is playing as the Evil Axis.
I of course am the Good Guys.

South Eifel:
Gott's initial attack was pretty much where I expected, the House at the crossroads VL
His losses were slim but none the less held up for awhile.
The well hidden AT_Gun made it's first shot count and easily took out his Stug attepmting to clear way for his Soldiers that were under heavy fire in the woods to the east.(His 2nd attack)

The attack to the east was easily halted by Mortars 1 Platoon squad and 2 Rifle Teams.

From there he made good use of his 2nd Stug and proceeded to clear the woods in the center of the map and later captured the Exit VL to Schoenberg.

Habscheid:
Gott's horrible deployment and his Fuhrers insistent to advance at all costs came at just that............. "All Costs"

Leidenborn:

Expect sever pay-back from Habscheid I dug in with just the sole purpose of holding ground.
Much to my surprise my one AT_Gun did very well here.
the other surprise was his attack from the North trying to capture the Exit VL to Reuland.
I never expected him to come this way and it shows by the small amount of area he will need next Battle to exit the map.

Dasburg:

Withheld a strong push from the North and probing attacks around the bridge.
Not much here other than just trying to hold ground.

Weiler:
Gerry came out with Guns a Blazing hoping to advance from his horrible deployment into better cover.
While he was able to do some damage by pin-pointing a few Units down he was not able to do so with the Sherman's-Or was not expecting to see them so early.
The Stug to the east looked to have some pathing issues as it made several spins in circles trying to get to who knows where.Needless to say that wasn't an issue for long.

Losheim:
14th Armored Cavalry group vs.8/3rd Fallschirmjager

Fighting here focused mainly on the Hotel in the center of town.
In my excitement to overwhelm the Germans in the house I lost the Stuart to the West by Zooks.
My Moral broke and Gerry was able to capture 2 VL's.

Krinkelt-Rocherath:
394/99th Infantry vs.48/12th Volksgrenadier:

Gerry was able to make a successful capture of the VL,overwhelming my .50Cal and Rifles teams with smoke a sheer force.
He then tried to continued his advance through Town.
He also tried to use Support and Smoke in an attempt to gain more ground in the center of Town with little success.

South Eifel
422/106th Infantry vs. 295/18th Volksgrenadier

We had hoped to recapture the Exit VL to Schoenberg today and placed a strong amount of Teams to do so.
Unfortunately Gerry himself did the same. The blood shed was horrible for our men as the died in vain.
Gerry then proceeded to crawl North in an attempt to capture the most needed Exit VL which he did so with ease.

Leidenborn:

Gerry made HUGE gains today in an unexpected Attack from the South-West almost capturing the Exit VL he so desperately needs for in breaking out to the West.
Lucky for me he was not watching the Timer and my Moral broke with me still holding on to the map.
