PREVIEW AAR: Ghost Divisions: Guderian Campaign

This exciting new release is a faithful adaptation of the renowned Conflict of Heroes board game that won the Origins Historical Game of the Year, Charles Roberts Wargame of the Year and the James F. Dunnigan Design Elegance Award, as well as many others!

Designed and developed in cooperation with Uwe Eickert, the original designer of Conflict of Heroes, and Western Civlization Software, the award-winning computer wargame studio, no effort has been spared to bring the outstanding Conflict of Heroes gameplay to the computer. Conflict of Heroes includes an AI opponent as well as full multiplayer support with an integrated forum and game lobby. To remain true to the core gameplay of the board game, the PC version is designed to be fun, fast and easy to play, though hard to master. The game design is also historically accurate and teaches and rewards platoon and company-level combined arms tactics without overwhelming the player with rules.

I hope you enjoyed this preview of the campaign system.

IMHO, I think the campaign system implemented is awesome.
How you play in a FF and which units survive and carry forward really will influence the next FF.
It adds a new layer of strategy to the battles.
Do you try for that last VP or do you save your wounded unit for the next FF. Or maybe go for that kill on the wounded enemy unit to deprive your opponent in the next FF.
An example of this impact I had while playing the Hoth campaign.
At the end of the second FF, my opponent scored a lucky one shot kill on my lone PzIIIe.
In the third FF, the Russian player still had a BA10 and 2 T26s and I had no armor to keep them in check.
It was an exciting FF and required a whole different strategy for the German player.
Things like this really open the game up and make it a blast.
When the going gets weird,... the weird turn pro

Great AAR! I was Jamm's opponent. I enjoyed the games immensely. I've written an AAR from my perspective, which should be posted soon.

Lol...I'm thinking your an Italian commander instead of of a german one....while this game screams "bring me to the tablet" I purchased it anyway. I'm just a silly consumer what do I know.
ORIGINAL: Jamm

As my forces press on, I lose another Lmg in the deep woods.
The remaining Russian T26 falls back to the lodge.
At this point we had to leave the campaign.
This FF became a meatgrinder for my German forces.
