caps

Post by t341 »

In several of the scenarios I have caps but am unable to use them. Does the enemy have a card that prevents me from using all my caps or is this a bug?

there is nothing in the rules and or guides to give any info on this, i've looked at all the tech support posts on Cap's as well, so unless the developer comments on it, i'm sorry there is nothing i can add or say much on it either, Cap's are given per turn and can't be saved, but are per unit, so once a given unit is destroyed you get less next turn, but not seen one yet where you can't use them, but maybe a odd point maybe because of costs of what you wish to do, but not seen a card for it as yet i'm sorry to say

Did you switch to CAP order mode? If you do that then you won't be able to use the CAPs to APs button, but you should be able to move the selected unit (provided you have enough CAPs left to move.) I'm looking at the code and I don't see anything that would prevent CAPs to APs other than that. (Well, that and having no units left on the board.)

If this isn't what's going on, then I'm stumped. If so, would you mind zipping up your save game and sending it to ericbabe@west-civ.com and I'll take a look. I'm gone all weekend but will be back on Monday.

not sure what "CAP order mode" is or how to turn it off or on but will check. I am playing one of the DLC's now but will check and see if I have "capless" game saved.

Thanks for your reply, great game and hoping to see a Guadalcanal DLC soon

Sorry for the delay, I was away on holiday, but I'm back now. I don't see an email with any save files. What day did you send it? What was the subject line? Please try to send the file again if you still have it handy.
