New Player--Are My Encirclements Large Enough Or Am I Wasting Time?

The team behind the award-winning game Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive early days of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris is the first in an innovative series of operational World War II wargames that also include a strategic element. The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris simulates Germany’s military successes in Poland and France in 1939 and 1940 (including also a hypothetical “Sea Lion” invasion of Great Britain).

New Player--Are My Encirclements Large Enough Or Am I Wasting Time?

Post by h4rryp »

As the title says, I am ready to end Round 2 of my first Case White scenario, but I worry I am on too slow of a pace. I worry that the encirclements I am creating are too small, capturing only 1-5 units, when I should be capturing more. Since, to my understanding, once' they've been cut off it still takes 2-3 turns for them to run out of supply depending how much they had. Could anyone who has played the game take a look and tell me if my salients and encirclements are of appropriate size? As the enemy never surrenders (never saw anything about it in the manual, I imagine for the small encirclements I'll use the advantage to destroy them soon and the larger encirclements allow 2-3 turns for the supply to tick. Thank you so much in advance to anybody who can provide any advice, tips, and or recommendations based on these images of the state of things at the end of turn 2, and I'm specifically self-conscious about the size of my encirclements/salients/speed of approach so anything directed there would be wonderful.

Thank you so much again!
