Price

Post by Dennistoun »

As happenned to me with FoF a few months ago, the price of this game also changes from "Digital Download PC Download (£20.76)"
in the product page to "add cart" and then the price becomes "Decisive Campaigns: The Blitzkrieg from Warsaw to Paris £25.99 "
All entries in that nice blue color has been copied and pasted straight from the original pages at @ 840pm GMT.
Please advise.

Hi Teddy,

Is that because VAT was added at the end? We state in the popup on the store front page that the prices are not inclusive of VAT because our store needs to find out what country you are ordering from at the end before we know what VAT rate to add. Hence the VAT gets added in the final step of the process before you complete the order, once we know your billing/shipping address.

Hm, I just looked and the price shows up as Digital Download PC Download (£25.99) in the UK store for me, without any VAT. That's the base price. Where are you seeing the 20.76 exactly? Could you get a screenshot? Are you entering through the UK store or one of the other storefronts?

Hi Teddy,

I cannot get this to happen here at all and it's quite concerning as that's not the correct price.

Can you copy and paste the URL that you are seeing in the browser when you see those prices?

That link of course shows 25.99 for me too. I am investigating this further with the store right now.

Here in Manchester i am getting the correct price ,however if you can get me the cheaper rate i would be grateful [:)]. On a serious note, i absolutely loved advance tactics and played it to death last year when i was made redundant in the credit crunch. Looking at the screenshots it appears that the game uses military symbols for its counters. Can these be altered for normal ones ?. i.e a tank looks like a tank ? .This is a big issue for me as i find it hard to get into a game with military symbols. Grognard i am not.

Yep you can change the symbols without a problem, Inf. units looking like a rifleman, Tank units looking like a tank. It's done by pressing "4" I think (have been away a few days so I can't remember it exactly).

The £20.76 price is very close to the current exchange rate equivalent of $29.99 US. The current US price for the game is $39.99. £26.99 represents a fair equivalent for the current exchange rate. VAT of 15% has to be added to that, unfortunately, but this standard European VAT rate is slightly better than the UK VAT rate of 17.5%.
