Great AAR!  Love your use of the paratroops as well.  I am amazed you were able indeed to get Panzer forces landed with such light opposition.  Then again, home guard units against elite paratroops your first few turns doesn't give them much chance.  Can you post some screenshots of the TO&Es of any home guard units left or any of your opposition?  I'd like to see their make up and how they stand up to the TO&Es of the German forces.  What does a panzer division look like in Sealion?

As long as the Germans have the shipping points they can land a Panzer Division anywhere they want, although they will take fewer losses if they are landed in a controlled port. I could have landed two more Panzer Divisions, but I wanted to get more troops into action and the Germans can land two infantry corps for every Panzer corp.

Shown below is the typical TO&E for a Home Guard unit. Some of them have the armored cars and others don't.

It looked to me like the political name of the peninsula was Kent, I was trying to find the geographic name. Is it the same name?

I'll try to make sure the Germans don't damage your ancestral home when they take it!

Situation at the start of turn 6.

The Germans really don't have enough troops to adequately garrison such a large area, so I need to shorten my front lines by taking the Kent peninsula. I will air recon the ports and then if any of them are unguarded land another infantry corps in one of them. The XXIV Infantry Corps under von Schweppenburg will advance from the West to clear the area out.

The rest of the German troops will push on towards London.

Air recon of Dover shows it is currently undefended so OKH has ordered V Corps under Richard Ruoff and consisting of the 12th and 30th Infantry Divisions to assault it.

would your plans have been different if you would have known about british port supply?
or could you just ignore kent and push to London?

V Corps took 20% casualties in the landing but lost no units. Surprisingly, the British have two Air Groups based out of Deal. This is probably why the Germans have been suffering such heavy losses to troop landings the last few turns. I will use the Luftwaffe to attack them.

The Germans lose 5 Bf-109es bombarding the British air field but destroy 25 Hawker Hurricane MKIs, 20 Blenheim IVs, 40 Spitfire MK1As and 20 Lysander IIs. Most of the British planes were destroyed on the ground. Hardly any of them got in the air.

My initial plan was to ignore Kent altogether, but the Germans just don't have enough troops to protect so long a front while simultaneously driving on London. Since I'm playing the AI I could most likely still ignore Kent and just drive on London with the majority of my troops. But it seemed to me that winning the scenario with porous flanks and a large troop concentration in London would be a little gamey.

The German spearhead has finally reached the outskirts of London and is only 20 km (4 hexes) from Westminster Palace. The Germans have also encircled two regiments of the British 72nd Infantry Division northwest of Redhill, and the Kent peninsula is in grave danger of falling completely into German hands.

Turn 7 Messages.

The British Intercept level continues to increase no that the German corridor is no longer open. However, the Germans got lucky with another clear weather turn, giving them 20 more SP. I will finally land the long awaited artillery units that the German commanders have been screaming for.

Situation at the start of turn 7.

Elements of V Corps (purple stripe) will drive on Ramsgate to close of the last port in Kent and also start attacking the remaining British in the Area. The 78th Infantry Division of XXIV Corps (green stripe) will attack the British units northeast of Hasting, while the 15th Infantry Division will take up positions on the German northern flank.

The surrounded British formations will be attacked and hopefully eliminated and the rest of the German Army will start moving towards London.
