Cutting off the AI from supply

Post by PaulAllen1982 »

Hi all,
Currently playing a campaign Vs the AI.
I'm playing as the Axis and am wondering about how supply works for the Soviets.

I know that if I completely encircle divisions they start to lose supply.

I just wondered if there's any value of making their supply route more difficult by cutting off rails and roads leading to them?

In short, if I cut off the roads leading to a Soviet division but haven't completed encircled it, does it suffer any penalty?

Wondering if it's worth pushing my panzers forward an extra hex or two to cut roads or if I should just wait to achieve full encirclement.

Hi Paul,

It does have an effect, especially rail lines, however the AI does get a helping hand with logistics that you, as a player, don't.

Cheers,
Cameron
