Barbarossa vs WITE

As an outsider who is playing WITE,
1) How is Barbarossa different for me to justify its purchase?
2) Seem the scope is 1941 where its all German, then the game ends before the Winter Offensive? When does the game end?
3) A game is not really tested until you play human opposition, AI is always a poor substitute. Is there a point to playing the Russian side? Is this a game to play against Russian AI which ensures German victory?

2. The game lasts untill start of march 1942 and the Soviet winter counteroffensive is covered

3. The AI is actually quite good and my best work so far Even on standard difficulty level winning as the Germans is not exactly easy.

Thanks. Very helpful. I will soon purchase Barbarossa. Playing AI in WTIE is a poor use of limited discretionary time, and requires a major investment of time that could be used playing a real person in other titles. I have two War in the Pacific games, each in their third year. I have the Admirals edition but that is even more of a dedication of time, and pace & dedication of opponent is always a question). I may only hvae 5-10 years left of game play (ha) so have to be judicious in what to play, not just the new game of the month.
