fighter pilots

OK, I tried to put my fleet admiral on a standard fighter from a cruiser that he is commanding.
Didn't work[:-] I think it would be cool to have character fighter/bomber pilots with a empire wide
sierra hotel listing, like a kill board for pilots, and pilot ranking. Just a thought.[:)]

ROFL, now that would be a good idea but hard to implement.

for the beginning it would be nice to have 1-2 races with better fighter pilot skills (maybe +10% damage or so as a racial bonus) then the rest.

I think there should be pilots ratings. For exmaple, morale, experience, rank, how many kills; just like in WitP:AE[;)] The more complex, the better!

I agree, this is one element that could add a lot to the game - ships that gain potency through combat experience.

I don't think those pilots would remain very consistent. They seem to get vaporized a bit...
