New game, same error as last time, after 15 hours of playtime. I found no workaround so it seems to be a critical bug.

Hmm, there are several different dumps in this thread.

I got the same one as in the OP after ca. 6h of playtime.

Hi all new here,
Getting the GxHab crashes myself. Totally wrecked a huge game I'd been playing for over a week :( All the previous saves result in the same crash within a 60-120 seconds of loading up game. Haven't started a new game yet, since I don't see the point of putting in 50-60hrs into an individual game and watching it end up corrupted before a solution is found...

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I tried re-installing the 1.7.0.1 patch, didn't improve anything.
Oh, incidentally. After the game crashes to desktop there's still a Distant Worlds.exe showing in the Task Manager, and the game music is still playing even after the rest of the game has closed itself out. Have to manually end the process of that .exe or Restart my comp to make the game music stop.

I'm REALLY frustrated at this point. Disabled, so I'm home all day. This is pretty much what I've done since like Jan. 9-10th, and just upsetting to lose such a long, good game ya know?

Any help would be appreciated.
