No popup on (F4) screen. Help needed please...

Hey all, I have encountered a strange bug whereby when I hover my mouse over the char portrait in the F4 char screen I don't get any popup giving me the details of the traits earned etc. I do get the popup on the left side of the page when I hover over the char names which says "Double-click to move to location" and all other hover over popups in other pages appear to be fine.

So far I've
- altered the screen res down from 1920 x 1080 to 1600 x 900 and a couple of others.
- uninstalled game and settings.
- Verified the steam files.
- checked in game settings and also returned them all to default.
- as far as I can tell prerequisite things like I.E. etc are installed fine as the game plays ok.
- nvidia graphics fully up to date on a GTX 1080Ti
- I do use 3 monitors with the game only on the centre one.

Any help or advise to get this small but annoying bug fixed would be greatly appreciated.

In order to try and help can you let me know if you are using mods or the vanilla game.
Do you start the game via Steam or via the Distant Worlds Universe folder within the common folder.

I always run via the folder option and always run as Administrator.

For the traits popup not to appear it sounds like a character file is corrupted causing an issue with displaying the traits.

After uninstalling in Steam do you :
1... Remove the Distant Worlds Universe folder from Common folder
2... Remove the Distant Worlds Universe folder from within Documents / My Games

Have you been playing the game for some time and this just started happening or have you only just started playing the game?

I am also not sure of issues that may occur using 3 monitors..... not sure if the game supports multiple monitors as yet. Have you tried running the game with only one monitor plugged in?

Hi rjord1, the game is vanilla and I've tried launching the game from both steam and it's own folder and also in admin mode. I just uninstalled via steam after copying the folder from My Games to a backup location. I'm new to this game and only noticed the popup wasn't appearing on the F4 char page after watching a youtube vid which showed it happening. It's strange as all other places as far as I can tell have the popups working as intended.
As for the triple monitor setup, I haven't yet tried it with 2 of them disconnected but I will that as soon as I can.

EDIT : Disconnected the 2 extra monitors and made no difference.
