StarGate Atlantis ( Wraith Done )

Post by Simulation01 »

Stargate Ships:
  • Ancients ( done but may tweak in the future )
  • Asgard ( In Progress )
  • Goa'uld ( In Progress )
  • Wraith ( done )

Here is the deal. I will not be releasing mods. I will only be releasing png files that can immediately be used in the game. I don't claim any credit for any art ( unless I specify it ).
If anyone is making mods based on these races then they are welcome to what I've found and modified.

These look alot like a shipset that was made for SEV, just wondering how you ported them across? I know there is a shipset viewer utility for SEV but it's always a black background and tends to overlap the ships abit, last time I tried it went horribly wrong to just magic wand the black away (caused all the subtle greys of the ship to wipe). So far the only method I saw using the shipset viewer was a long slow task of cutting them out pixel by pixel?

They are indeed from the shipset made for SE V. I guess you could say that I cut them out pixel by pixel. I used the free select tool in gimp and painfully cut them away from that horrid black backgroud lol. Yes, it took me a while and everytime I opened another ship image up and saw those damn antenna's I cringed and sighed. I wanted them though so I did it. I'm also gonna be doing the Asgard that way. I was gonna do the Goa'uld however they're ships are all black and white photo's, so alas no Goa'uld untill I find better pics. I have however hit upon another idea. If you play Galactic Civilizations II: Twilight of the Arnor you can design your own ships and take screens of them....then cut them out and put them in this game. I created some custom 'trek style ships that I'm eventually going to do that way.

SE V:

when you download a shipset and extract it to it's location you should go to that location and open the file containing it. Once you do that you should see all the files for the shipset. Some of the INV portraits are in color and those are the ones I used.

Disclaimer:

I would like to say that I am not responsible for the art. That was done by people with more talent than I currently possess. Again, I in no way claim any art and am not using any photo's for commercial purposes.

HAndy idea on the INV portraits, just a shame once again that nasty black background makes some of them abit more labourious.

Well, not all INV portraits will work, but for some sets they are in color.

These are the Wraith Ships I've collected and modified to create other ships and to be compatible with the game. Disclaimer: I did not create these ships. I collected them and made them compatible with the game...I do not claim credit for the artwork or images. I hope you like/enjoy these. Let me know.
