As I mentioned in an other thread (my first one in this forum at all), I had issues with the appearance of the research-breakthrough picture when I started to play "Distant Worlds". It seemed to be quite dull to me.
When loading the picture in my graphics program, I realized that this is caused by the picture's semi-transparency.
After applying a white background, the bulb looks bright and shiny now:
Before:

(Ingame, as the background is darker, the bulb looks even more dusky.)
After:

I know, this is no big deal.
Nevertheless, I want to share the picture with you as I offered in my other thread. Maybe you will find it usefull and like it.

PS:
If you right mouse-click the picture and then choose "save image", everything should work fine. Using "copy image" will not, as this doesn't handle transparency information right.
