I just can't decide..time running out :)

I am so much on the fence with this game but for 1/2 price, really considering it. I don't have much time left to pull the trigger. I'm strictly a player who plays against the AI and I have some less than favorable reviews of the AI. Has any of the patches made it better? I'm no great general so it doesn't have to be out of the world, but needs to be good enough.

Any thoughts...time is a ticking :)

Well, I decided to take the plunge and purchase it.  Only played one quick battle so far and it seemed fun.  No idea what I'm doing yet, but I will figure it out :)
