Haven't tested this, but try installing the Lat Lon Tools plug-in (from QGis' plug-in manager); it might allow you to enter lat lon coordinates and scroll there.
Preparation:
- First make within qgis a print composer definition with the area of interest.
- have a marker on every corner.
- Export a tif image with the print composer.
- Georeference the generated tif and use the 4 corner markers as a reference point.
- Save the reference points.
From now select the needed layers:
- Export the tif
- Load the tif and the reference points within the Georeferencer tool, process the data, save the new tif.
