Luftwaffe goes AWOL

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Luftwaffe goes AWOL

Post by Greyshaft »

While we have all these BOB grognards on line:

I've been playing as Britain in the 1941 Long Campaign. I'd got to about turn 20 ...winning some... losing some... doing ok but not great... when suddenly the Germans stopped coming. I loaded up the game last night, moved my AA etc then hit "End Movement Phase" and the Germans just sat on their airfields. 'No problem', I thought. 'They're probably just reorganising.' But I then went through a week of turns where the Germans did nothing (weather was OK, ranging from 3% to 40% cloud cover). AS went down to 2 and then the game ended!

OK, there is a possibility I had accidentally selected a 1 month campaign but even so, why did the Germans go on leave for the last week?

Hi Greyshaft,

seems like no one else has seen this.

I frequently play the RAF vs AI, and have seen the LW "sulk" for several days, after they have had losses. Think some Gruppes just sit it out until they pass a morale check.

The 1941 scenarios are probably less frequently played, hence the poor response here.
