Grand Campaign - Me v the darstadly AI

I thought I might try to do an AAR taking on the might of the Luftwaffe managed by the AI.

Strategy will change, sometimes weekly,if not daily, and will include really odd plans as I try out bits and pieces.

I dont think I'll threaten the AI, and losing by Auto victory is a possibility.

Join in for a laugh, and dont be surprised by the results.

Day 1 skirmishes.
8AF hits the Solvay Chemicals factory in Belgium, Meditteranean Air Forces attack targets in the toe of Italy catching 19 Fw190F on the ground.

OK, my first strategy is, in Europe, paint Belgium red. Leave enough bomb craters so that you can use them as cover all the way to The Ruhr. In Italy, aim to destroy aircraft. I dont see anything else as being worthwhile.

I wont over commit bombers, I want to destroy the Luftwaffe.

13/36 is a good start but its a long war.

1st quiz question - What do you do with the Mustang I & IA. Probably should be recce types, bloody useless at anything else

End of 6 days combat, 1 lost to weather and 2 days where Italy was over 50% cloud.

Looking at the game, who was the fool who ordered the Schweinfurt raid??

Even though a WITPAE veteran, the UI on this is terrible.

Plus, I find that the devs wants you to play their game their way, you have little control over allocation your resources, and sometimes your changes to aircraft or bases gets reversed a few weeks later.
