BoB-BTR Manuals?

Post by warlimont »

Hi all,
I have both the old games, but no longer have the manuals for either.
Anyone know if there is any internet location where I might download the
manuals?

thanks

I've always liked these two!

Warlimont,
I have been searching the net for a month now and I have not found anything accept one that is supposedly for sale through some internet marketing site. When I went to try to purchase it was said to be out of stock. Not sure if it was a legitimate site, I think not.

I have just found the CD for the game and purchased it so like you, I am looking for some instructions on how to play this game. I have many of the Talonsoft games from way back when, some have versions of the manual or quick reference charts on the CD's. Perhaps you might check your CD's to see what kind of reference material is on them, if any.

I have not yet received the CD so I can not answer this question. Once I get it I will see what I can find.

If anybody out there knows where an electronic version like a .pdf document manual is I would like to know. Dont care which it is for because Talonsoft was pretty consistant. For example I have all the East Front, West Front, Rising Sun labels and any manual for any of those games will take care of you for any of the other games.

If nothing else I am an Engineer so I will work my way through it one way or another.

Later,
KayBay

Some "manual" is in the readme file on the CD ... there are rules for campaigns, some advices, strategies etc. SO not really manual, but good information if know how to play ...
Excuse my English ... I hope is better then Your Czech ... 8-)

The historical section was written to give game play tips also....though most any historical tactic is going to have some success.

I was unable to find the BTR manual at that Replacement Docs web page you linked. They do have the BOB manual in PDF format though. It does not appear to be complete fir the BTR portion of the game. I could be mistaken since I have never actually seen a BTR manual.

If anybody does have a link to the BTR manual in some format please link it here.

Thanks,
KayBay

Ok, here is the deal. I have a copy of the BTR manual and the means to scan it over the weekend and create a pdf.  But that's a good deal of work, if you guys have already moved beyond the development and testing point where the manual is not a big deal.  Also, If I make a digital copy, do you need the gameplay and historical commentary parts of the book or just the gameplay?

it would be of help to alot of the players, those who have gotten the game with the rules, and those who used to have it, and lost the rules (the last time I heard from him, the maneul writer needed a copy of the rules too)

Man, I would love to have a copy of the BTR manual.  I can't remember all the things from when I used to play that I probably need to.

This is proving to be a big task.  I've got 115 pages scanned so far.  80 more to go.  We are probably looking at next weekend before this will be ready.

Sorry Guys, ended up with some of those pesky real life intrusions.

I have all the scanning complete. I am now rotating the images and assembling the manual as a pdf.

I should be able to have it ready for download via ftp late tonight or early tomorrow.
