Rules Question

Post by Gamer64 »

When does 22.3.3. Unit Morale Reduction kick in?

CV reduction is Dec - April in blizzard, disruption is all Jan - March, but morale loss is not clear to me.

Losing 1 morale every turn for 12-16 turns is a substantial impact I will be looking to avoid where possible.

Thank you,

Well section 22.3 states that the following rules impact the Axis player Dec- March

Disruption does actually start in Dec but at a reduced rate.
Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

Thank you. How does it work for HQs and attached SUs? Will the SUs lose morale and disrupt?

Morale loss happens when the weather is blizzard (in the Soviet weather zones) from December till end of February. This applies for HQ and SUs too. You can mitigate it by sheltering your units in level 4 towns, Cities, Light urban or heavy urban. The manual has more info on the matter.

It should work for all units - SUs and HQs included

In some old AARs you will see OKH driven back to Poland and support levels set to let all SUs drift up to High Command to avoid them getting blizzard penalties
