Well i can post here now
so heres my thoughts,Tarhunnas by al means should have a Victory ,he outplayed me in every way (was my 2nd GC i think at that time and tons to learn and still :p) ,but that doesnt matter
he captured most major industry areas,i dont know how many times he made Super pockets and killed of entire Fronts ,i remember even , it was at stalingrad i think ,that i almost threw my mouse away to the other side of the livingroom
there were some Disastrous moments and there were great moments(turning point at stalingrad )where he was litterally 1 hex away and i was struggling to keep it open
Anwyays Tx for a great game mate hope some more to come ;)(although i still meet you in ZR )

Oh, I see us both as winners for being the first to complete the entire GC in a public AAR!

Out of curiosity, what was the VP count at in May?

Here is the VP screen from the 10th of May, close as can be to the real German surrender. At that time the front was roughly on the Soviet-Polish border.

Turn 224. October 4 1945.

The game just ended. I mistakenly thought it was 229 turns, but it was 224.

224 turns and all you get is this lousy screenie?
You should turn it into a T shirt if it's ever warm enough in Sweden to wear one.[;)]

Grats to both of you for such an heroic effort.[&o]

You would have won if it weren't for those Russian carebears and their nerf bats. [:D] Kidding

Some of the casualty numbers seem smaller than actual events; Soviet Army deaths were perhaps larger than that something around 7.3 million and German deaths were probably far over 411k ( like 2 million? ).

That's 4 million KIA germans, not 411k :)

Honestly they should change the VP conditions. Basically any axis player lasting beyond the historical surrender date should get a minor victory, or if not 10 Mai, at least from 1st June onwards... To last till October and get a draw..

now we just need a larger map for the other side of the continent, 1 day turns, hex's 5x5 km, a naval system from witp-ae and an air system from, defending the reich, and add that all into world in flames, and we are set

+1 , for pure competitive purposes it will apropiate a 1-step shift in the victory table

But congrats to both players for a well fought game across all patches ![:)]

Congratulations to both of you - outstanding to see a PBEM make it all the way to the end. Also, thanks for taking the time to write an AAR it was very enjoyable to read.
