The Bratislava line is smashed by 1st Shock army and 1st tank army secures the high ground.

The offensive South of the Danube has been held up slightly by poor supply. The rail head will cross the river at Budapest soon.

Turn 168

The pocket North of Warsaw is tightly sealed this week. A good haul of eleven divisions in total.

Leningrad front takes Riga and now I start to disband most of it. The four best rifle corps are formed into an army and head for Hungary with the front air army.

Vienna falls to 2nd Guards army and 1st tank army breaks out. Supply is still not great here.

The newly formed 8th tank army reinforces 2nd tank front. There are now six tank armies in the South.

Congrats to 7TA/2GA, having liberated my hometown 9 months earlier than historically.

I was wondering why the Germans did not defend south of Gyor. I have my answer. But this position is breached in 2 places .Looking at the rail network it looks like 2 turns from being a huge trap and not much room for building another line of defense. Maybe the Germans are gambling on your supply grid?

Looks like the Yanks will soon be having to pay the royalties for Budweiser to Stalin.

Turn 169

Three more German divisions get caught before they can escape across the Vistula to safety.

Stalin uncharacteristically allows 1st Polish army the honour of liberating Warsaw.

The Germans abandon their Danube defenses and run for the hills with six tank armies in hot pursuit.

1st tank front makes a small breakthrough North of Katowice.

Turn 171

The Germans continue to trade space for time except where they are well dug in behind the Vistula. This long retreat has mostly been successful in preserving the Wehrmacht, but space and time are running out. I have until March 31st to take Berlin and claim a major victory.

Resistance has stiffened in Czechoslovakia, but the Soviet armor is hard to contain due to it's density and our momentum continues.

Turn 173 (The final Summer turn)

The vistula is crossed in the North.

One armored thrust almost breaks through North of Posen and another captures Leignitz.

In the South the Germans fall back to the Mountains, the last major obstacal before Berlin.

Also one of the Soviet fronts is being disbanded.

How much did that relieve pressure on (part of) your vehicle pool ?

I hate when soviet fronts are disbanded for no reason other that "they were historicaly disbanded lol" and you loose, often by surprise AP and time (the time&AP you spent organising the front). Without any relation to operational situation.

It is really have no meaning and gameplay wise it is awfull.

Not that much I don't think. I have thought to disband a tank army or two to relieve pressure but that would have negative consequences as well. On the whole I'd rather have the tank armies.

Yes it would be nice to have full control of front creation and disbanding. Would also be nice if you could remame them as you like.
