T35 - Orel/Kursk/Kharkov

His emphasis is now south of Kharkov. My line is thin but he really has nowhere to go.

T35 - Stalino

Heavy attacks in this sector. However, thanks to my strong Panzer and Motorized divisions I am able to at least temporarily encircle three of his divisions including a cavalry corps. West of Rostov I am now back at my fort line.

You're doing well and imo the Soviet is setting himself up for trouble come March.

To my surprise he stops his blizzard offensive. I actually have a couple of opportunities to attack him in clear terrain just as long as there are no fortifications. Nothing happening south of Moscow.

Likewise in the south. He frees his encircled units (ironically his cav corps just turned guards) but I encircle it again. Oh, oh, that poor Romanian tank division is going to get it next turn.

A strange blizzard turn. Many more German attacks then Russian attacks.

You are correct that there will be some trouble in March. But because he stops his blizzard offensive early and actually pulls back it will be minor.

think that is wise, you clearly have stalled him and all he may gain by more attacks (apart from beating up that Rumanian tank div) is to set up salients that make it easier for you to make pockets

What a great AAR and play by you man !!! The major difference betix a very good player (grivey) and a great one (don't get too puffy-headed), are their tactical ability. More players need to work on "seeing" into each position in each front. The 42 setup (Stalingrad) is a great teacher in tactics (for those interested.) It's amazing what a great German player can do in the first 7-10 turns.

Thanks, I am glad you are enjoying it.

This is not going to happen simply because I still make very goofy mistakes. For example during snow I inadvertently moved a Panzer Corps instead of a Panzer Army south. I was slightly surprised when I saw my Panzer Corps reduced to infantry movement points. [:D]

The Romanian tank divisions gets slaughtered. In return I hit the cavalry corps that was encircled twice and inflict significant damage.

Blizzard is over. It looks like his troops are pretty weak after the blizzard. I concentrate my counter-attack in the south and at Rzhev. Results are good despite heavy reserve activation.

Trying to straighten out the line and maybe encircle Rzhev.
