ORIGINAL: phoenix
What are the counters you're using though - with the strong colours and written designations 'INF' 'HK' etc. Which mod is that?

Hi!
They are not intential mods to go out with. Just hastily done to make it easier to follow Ai-Ai play when testing the game as a simulation.
The designations are German short for Infanteri, Hauptkvartier etc...
The colour for units keeping together ( ex same Hq ) are broader.
Deliberate attack and Hasty attack are Offensive resp Attack ...
Routed is changed to black/red pattern onto unit sides not to hide unit information...
Movement information is in the upper right corner as before but green, yellow and red instead of existing marks. (not moved, movement left and no movement possible.)

Put the files in Folder: via Dat- Arts- into UNITS. Replace the existing with the same names.
Be sure to keep the original files (rename them) so you can go back to them when tired of my changes.

Goran,

I adore your maps, but...

... I would suggest you alter the serious [:D] mispelling that occurs on every tile 37 (your original maps, "Operationskarte" and "name mod onto Jison-Map"): "Brunau" should read "Braunau". Not that many of us will have to zero in on tile 37, but it was btw the town where the guy who started Barbarossa was born.

Is anything left of these great map mods? None of the provided links in this thread work anymore, besides some example screens that were attached to postings.
Is goranw still active?
Is any link still known?
Can anyone upload his great work again to make it available for new players like myself?
Thanks in advance!

Hi!
I will try to upload the files again. My site was manipulated a bit as reported by my webb-hotel.
Now restoring it and putting up strong guards.
Why! I dont know, perhaps to get hold of my ww2 maps ?? I dont know if that is possible.
Many unique scans from a base of about 800 maps.
In a couple of weeks there will also be a new name-modd version with all airfields that were
supposed to be important. In the Soviet about 1200. ( Both from German and Soviet point of view).
(Although no ingame-function)

New version of the name-mod.
Detailed with ww2 used airfields.
Compiled a list with in the Soviet about 1100 Fliegerhorste( airfields)with Lat-Long.
Thats the reason for Lat-Long on the map.
Sources both Soviet and German.
Download from www.mannaberg.se

A further version of the Operationskarte/Zoom2_nogrid map.(Naming onto Jison's map)
With historical airfields at least in the Soviet area and a bit generalized vegetation map as overlay.
Some new Lat's and Long's and borders ex the border between Lithaunia and Belorussia-41
Can be downloaded from my site.

Hi!
New version in order to correct the unsharp text layer while keeping the vegetation.
Also some airfields changed. Some texture change to make the map look like a linen map.
Two map examples. One showing all Finnish attack moves (Schlacht)and Finnish air recognition(Aufklärung).
The other just the situation later on in in the South.

Hi!
New version of the "Operationskarte"
With (as before) vegetation from another map, Lat and Long´s and fortified areas.

Above all an airfield map. 1155 named airfields (Within the Soviet area) localised with Lat and Long data.
A summary by mixing Soviet and German information.
Tried to have the same demands regarding use and size of the airfield.

Of course in this game no ingame function of this information
or the added village/station/town names.
Perhaps some of the airfields will be in WitE 2?
The map alters in no way the game play.

Can be downloaded from my site www.mannaberg.se

WitE as a simulation.
Here Soviet turn on 24 july -41.
Scenario is the drive to Leningrad.(Incl.Finnish attack)
Game engine is onto a German railway map from the war.
That changes nothing in game play.
In zoom4 I could compare the advance with the historical situation.
That map can be downloaded from my site.

The Barbarossa scenario turn 18, oct-16. Here just an attack on Leningrad.
Ai-Ai-simulation.As mostly quite historical but "after" in the south.
Perhaps a small change of the map that slightly makes an entrance into The Crimea more easy should help??
Here the simulation is onto one of the most important strategy maps made for OKH just before
the attack june 22. "Gewässer karte". Among maps concerning "Europäisches Russland".In Mappe A.
It shows in low-scale the rivers and river sides. Added are
values for frozen water accordingly to climate observations.
Scale 1-2,5M. GoranW

It's great, Goran. But I recall an earlier version where the trees were different - not those little tree model type things. At least I think I recall such a version, which I preferred, with the trees just drawn in more as in an ordinary map. Do you still have that version? Or a possibility for the trees to be reverted back to what they were in your earlier version? Many thanks.

Another request, Goran, if you ever look in here. I no longer have the files for your map PRIOR to you switching to Jison's (great) map. I don't believe they're on your site. Have you got still? I mean the 63 files for the Operational map as it was BEFORE you switched to using Jison's map. For me that map (without dates, though with the roads, if possible) was the best map for Wite, because lots of clarity, realism and naming info, but no clutter. I would be very grateful if you could post those files on your site again?
