Amphip attach

Post by ulsterandy »

Hi all been reading about attaching sf to the amphip how how? I have put the ssf in the same hex, tired to put the ssf in the afhq and then going into the amphip hq then going into the attach tab looking at the afhq list I can see the the ssf listed click on the the ssf but when I go to see if it is attached to the amphip it is not. Yours one stuck player. Read the manual but there's no explanation on how.

Not quite sure I am understanding exactly what you did but attaching the SF unit to AFHQ won't do it.

The first thing you do is change the HQ of the SF/Ranger/Commando unit to the Amphib task force itself, the one that you want to attach the SF unit to. Note that the FF mountain regiment that starts the '43 campaign in Bizerte is not an SF unit. It is indeed a Multi-Role unit, but not the type that will attach to an amphibious TF. To do the conversion, the SF unit and the Amphib task force have to co-locate in a port hex. Once you have your SF unit in the port hex with the Amphib task force it is now attached to, you will have the option to convert the SF unit to a support unit, at which point it will break down into its component units and disappear from the map and the components will be listed as support units attached to the Amphib task force.
