Double-click to select whole stack

I used to be able to select an entire stack of units using the dedicated double-click button on my mouse. This is on the Steam version. However, recently I had to start using Steam as Administrator to make the Steam Overlay function work. After doing that, the double-click function stopped working. Is there a known work around? It is a quick and user friendly function that I want to use.
