Deluxe 1.07: Question about Syria

Gary Grigsby’s World at War is back with a whole new set of features. World at War: A World Divided still gives complete control over the production, research and military strategy for your side, but in this new updated version you’ll also be able to bring spies into the mix as well as neutral country diplomacy, variable political events and much more. Perhaps the largest item is the ability to play a special Soviet vs. Allies scenario that occurs after the end of World War II.

Deluxe 1.07: Question about Syria

Post by ncc1701e »

All right, this is already difficult enough against a strong Axis player. But, I have a question regarding Syria. I wonder why there is not even one Vichy garrison after French surrendering.

This would force the United Kingdom to attack and invade it as historically.

Here I have just moved one militia against nothing.

Yes but my question is why this is an event and a coup? Syria was with Vichy at start just after French surrenders. Thus the invasion in 1941 by UK and Free French.

It's simply a design for effect choice. Once France surrenders its old territories in the Middle East needs to be garrisoned by UK troops or the locals will take back control. Or rather in this games terms side with the enemy of their old occupiers the French.
