ALSO HAVING WINDOW DISPLAY SIZE PROBLEM

Game will only run in small window pane, no full screen resolution (can't maximize). Just bought the game, running latest ver. 1.040, Win 7, my screen resolution is 1920 x 1080. Have several other Matrix titles including GG titles like WBTS (which apparently had a similar problem that has been fixed) running with no problem. GGWaW only runs in a smaller screen. Changed game preferences to full screen mode and changed window size from default (1024, 768) to 1920, 1080 but still only get small window. After reboot problem persists, and window size has reverted to default (1024x768).




I don't want o have to change my display screen resolution just to accommodate this game. Any help is much appreciated.

Just to add, this problem is same in windowed or full screen mode, changing over makes no difference.

Ok, so if I reset screen resolution to 1024x768 I can play full screen. Not optimal but so be it. If anyone has a better solution please let me know. Thanks!

I have no problems running the game under Win7, here is a screenshot of my User Preferences screen. Did you write the coma between the two numbers for the windows size?

rjh, thanks for the reply. When I change the window size there is a prompt for the x and y values, and the comma is added automatically. The new dimensions appear, are saved, but the window remains the same size and won't enlarge. I have screen mode and graphic quality checked like yours.

Try setting your screen resolution to your monitor display 1920,1080. Click on the tick as to accept changes. Once you're in the main menu screen exit the game and reload.
That changes my screen resolution.
If this doesn't work to you I don't know what can it be.

Thanks rjh. Problem is when I reload the resolution reverts to the default, doesn't save the changes.

Also, finding I cannot save a game, get an error message.

Not to happy with this purchase right about now. Will be contacting Matrix. [:@]

For the saving problem read this thread, which thinking of might also solve your resolution screen problem:

I do not have the "window size" option under the screen resolution check boxes. So I can't change from windowed mode to full screen. Is this is a known issue?

Have you got patch 1.40 installed? If you have bought the game recently it may come with an older version which doesn't have the option to set your monitor resolution.
