Winter42

Germany Winter 42

Well first Russian Winter is on, not much action on that front.
Some more major air battles in the Med.
The WA air force just keeps on coming.

The unsupplied Russian Fleet was extinguished but their HF manages to get a fucking auto hit against my vet Bismark Fleet. Russia has enjoyed many many critical hits when they really count this game. (still cant believe 2 panzer units were defeated by fighter units on Barb opening in Karkov)

Winter 1942 - Russia enjoys a break as Germany has set its sight on Cairo and the Middle East. I a desperate attempt the Russian WWI dreadnought must have fired its underwater torpedo tubes on the Bismarck hehe...[:D]

The whole Japanese army has assembled in Siberia, ready to be thrown into battle against the reinforced Red Army Group East?

China... nothing again. All Japanese troops exept Militia have left for other theaters. The planet will soon heat up even more as Japanese Strike at WA seems only a turn or two away.

Germany Spring 42

Same old/ same old...
Many aircraft lost to the dreaded '1' bombard evasion roll.

Royal Navy has parked a large flotilla off of Sardina sinking one of my transports and losing one of there HFs.
They tried several times to take out a evasive Italian sub guarding the region with no success.

Our counter strike from the air ended in about a draw with a couple ships damaged and several aircraft shot down includeing half of our limited supply of CAGs. The Italian navy did not temp fate and sat parked off of the Southern boot.

According to the SS Russia is getting the squeeze.

Germany Summer 43

I sent this turn yesterday April 11 but was unable to get into the forums last night.

The big news is the capture of the strategic location known as Cairo [;)]
Other than that many HB pilots are getting there eyes checked and being screened for a condition known as 'severe fear of Flak'

Sent to Japan yesterday

Oh yea we managed to make 'men' out of some Italian Milita boys.
They have been upgraded to infantry and we shall watch there progress throughout the next few years.[;)]

Yes I did receive the turn on April 27th but was not able to play until tonight... So let's roll on...

Summer 1942 - Russia keeps digging trenches while China moves some troops close the the front to threaten Japanese resources in China. With Japan finally in the war both Russia and China hope for lend lease to flow, so the Axis can but pushed back.

Germany Fall42

Another WA Carrier is sent to the bottom of the sea. This time in the Western Med.
3 More are stationed in Gibralter though.

Russia has been squeezed but still packs a powerfull bite since they have ammassed 25 artillary units or about 50% of there total ground forces not counting milita.

Fall 1942 - Russia launches the first counter attack against the Invaders, recapturing Rostov. The Axis grab for Baku will fail... It is getting time for some more beating for the Axis, isn't it WA? Some intelligence attached.

China: nothing (yet?)

Just an inquiry - where is the turn at? I did not receive a turn since I played Russia/CH in Fall 1942 on May 4th. I'd hate to see this game freeze for another 2 weeks including MrQ's vacation... BTW, enjoy[:)]

Germany Winter43

German Subs went on the prowl in the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Each of the 5 bagged a destroyed tranny but one was taken out with the dam auto hit[:(]

A little troop shuffling and a airfield attack in Scotland pretty much rounded out the rest of my turn.
Axis has reached the first water mark of 71

Some background on the WA and Axis moves before the Russian turn:

Heavy Air battles over W. Germany, Sardinia, initiated by WA, followed by German counter attacks on England. The WA engage Japan near Java, putting 2 Japanese and one WA carrier out of action. Japan responds with surface vessels, several WA and Japanese ships lost.

Sub offensive from both Japan and Germany in all oceans, 4 German and 4 Japanese subs are ready to be hunted down...

Germany really wants the middle east, pushes towards Persia/Caucasus from Iraq and from the Ukraine. Axis score prior to Russian turn: 72.

Winter 1943 - Repositioning in Russia to counter German forces. Red Air Force launches attacks against Japanese Bomber bases in Siberia and succeeds. Once more the 1063th Fighter Sq. excells...

Germany Spring 1943

A fairly eventfull start to the fighting season of 43.
My subs went on a turkey shoot destroying every transport in there areas of operation.

Operation invade Scotland was a huge success with only 1 HB damaged in the prep attack.
In the east we edged a little deeper into Russia trying to keep the pressure on the red army.
