Summer '41 - W. Allies
All quiet as we wait for the storm to break in Russia and the Pacific. The Germans retreat the bulk of their forces from Cairo, ending the threat to Turkey (a gambit Rafael is trying on me in our 1x1 game). The Western Allies watch the Japanese forces in China, curious as to whether they will strike south towards India. Other than that we just build and wait.

Germany Fa41

OKW has decided to finally launch Barbarrosa, things have not started as planned, as in history the germans encountered some problems in the Ukraine, darn with 88% chance of succes the wermacht was repulsed. So the pz div in reserve had to be commited.

Some bombings were done i nthe rear regions, but were not as good as expected.

Turn sent to a511.

Fall 1941:

Russia:

The whole people of Russia rises to fight the shamefull aggression of Germany. We already salute the heroic defense of Kiev which avenged in streams of German blood this dark moment in our history. We will liberate this city very soon Stalin said.

Leningrad troops did anihilate the armies occupying the Baltic States. More is coming.

Fall 1941 - Western Allies

The British stage an airstrike on French airfields, killing two German fighters and damaging a heavy bomber that was troubling the Atlantic sea lanes. One of Rafael's few remaining uboats is sent to the bottom, too, while the first lend lease supplies arrive in Russia.

I don't have enough troops to retake Cairo yet, but once the US enters the war the buildup there should be swift.

Germany Wi42

Winter has taken side with the commies, OKW thought to withdraw from Kiev but two pz div did not receive in time the order not to attack Odesa and after destroying the local militia they were blocked back to Rumania, so plans had to be changed in order not to leave them isolated in Odessa if Kiev was to be evacuated, this meant reinforcing Kiev to the maximum.
If Monsieur Polonthi is as lucky as in the Baltic States attack where he had several autohit and I rolled several "1" in evasion, he is going to make mincemeat the wermacht in Kiev.
In the BS he used 5 arty and flaks

On the N. African front Cairo was reinforced after the 8th army was rebuilt and sent to Trans-Jordania.

The screenshot shows the situation in Russia and N. Africa

Well like this you do make it tempting [:'(] and it's Winter so I will see the ratio and if losses are 1 for 1 we will see if luck is still on my side at that moment. Mincemeat would be nice but I can try to grind the Whermacht bit by bit.[;)]

Winter 1942:

Russia:

The Red Army did respond to Germany invasion with a strong counterattack against Kiev. Even we didn't liberate that martyr city from Nazi invaders we did certainly shake them. Soon enough will they understand their huge mistake in raping Mother Russia. Camarade... victory is in sight but the road will be long.

(Unfortunately we noticed a lot of GE units getting Veteran or even Elite status. Attack was done by: 5 Tanks, 7 INF, 7 MIL, 13 ART, 3 AA against 2 HVY Bombers, 2 TAC, 4 FIG, 8 PZR, 8 INF, 5 MIL and 5 ART. 35 units against 34 units. Attack Ratio was something like 12Att to 18Def losses.)

China:

Hmmm... what??? war??? [>:][>:][>:][>:]

Germany Sp42

German losses in Kiev have been considerable, retreat for the moment is out of the question since there is no place to retreat to, so it is stand or die.

Spring 1942:

Russia:

Kiev Liberated. The Spring offensive of the Red Army did shatter a dispirited German army knowing already they would face disaster. Losses were light and Rumania oil fields are in view. While Germany has total air supremacy they can still sting Mother Russia while we bite big chunk of the Whermacht.

China:

We can only notice that our defense did force Japan to stop their invasion of China. We will be back... one day. [8D]

W. Allies Spring '42
The British can do little until the US enters the war. Lend Lease is sent to Russia to keep the Red Army moving forward, and our buildup in the Middle East continues. The Germans have a strong army in Cairo, though, so it will be some time before we can disloge them. We'll take comfort in knowing that we're keeping a good 10-12 units off the Russian front, at least.

Germany Su42

The Kiev disaster has torn apart all plans to conquer , the USSR, now even thinking of defending the Reich is a problem, all footholds in Russia are lost and Rommel and his DAK had to be transfered to the continent since more reinforcements could not be spare in N. Africa and there was only an 11% chance to take Jordania.

"Gott ist mit uns" think He changed sides an is now the ruskies Artillery's God. [:D][:D]

The screen shot show the casualties the wermacht suffered in Kiev.

on the rational side ... tojo should sit back and wait for uncle sam to come ...
however, the game will be extremely boring ... its just not WWII!!

so ... even I fully understand the consequence of gifting WA with 15 WR, tojo strike hard!!!
southern india was taken and the routes to eastern india were all cut off by the IJN.

now, the IJN is waiting for the 10 WA CVs to kick their butts ... but at least, JP got the moment of glory [8D]
(but the JP high command just forgot to take the screen shot ... phil could u help[;)])

No problem will do.

Stalin is shocked seeing Japan backstabbing our Imperialist Allies. We still need a few weeks to deal with Germany then we will ponder our options against Japan

Summer 1942:

Russia:

First offensive against Rumania, attack repulsed but as usual our ART did inflict a bit of damage. Like Kiev will the next attack be successful?

We send our deepest sympathy to our imperialist Allies in those days of infamy. May they prevail.

China:

We are sure Japan will loose due to the numerous damage we did on the IJA before [:(]

Germany Fa 42

The soviet artillery is like Atila king of the huns, the grass doesn't grow where the bomb shells drop.
Rumania was reinforced, but will it be enough against 17 artillery.
I little info for our Axis partner, beware of subs the US has started a program for building them.
