Speeding up AI

I was wondering if in the future the AI turns could be like Panzer Corps? In Panzer Corps, you can have The AI turn go real quick. In this game, I would prefer to not see all the computer animations.

Am I missing anything in the options?

You can change the AI animation speed in the game options (Preferences tab).

You can just enjoy the ongoing combat or get up for a stretch and drink of water. Or pet your cat.
If you love war, then you should love knowing there are people shooting at each and creating carnage.
That's how I enjoy the enemy's turn anyways. Against another human like in hotseat you'd have to wait much longer.
