New Zealand Victory ??

As the Japan ... I have both Victory conditions and I've repelled all the attacks plus all the secondary objectives...and yet I get a defeat. Is there some other objective I'm missing?

I just finished New Zealand as well and got the same result as Arne.

Only thing I'm not sure of is there is a couple of beat up U.S. units left on the sandbar trapped by me.

It also said I did not beat the US fleet but I did wipe out their last ship on the 10th turn.

But the end result says the japanese were trapped

Just got it a couple of days ago (after several attempts, 60 turns are really few, you have to be in a hurry) you don't have to crash all ships but you have to destroy every ground unit landed with the last enemy wave. I'm playing with no 1.78 beta patch.

Like I said though I have destroyed the ships twice in 10 turns exactly but not credited - if they meant 9 they should have said 9 - but frankly I don't see how you could destroy them in 9 - hard enough in 10.

Were you and Arne able to get the ship credit?

I got the ship credit ... mainly because I made all my aircraft as bombers ... with several as torpedo bombers. I also had a couple of those German Uboats...not that they do much damage.

So an unstated objective is to destroy all the troops that landed in the last wave?? I should add it's pretty easy for an infantry unit to escape north (I had landings in the south) then how do you tell what unit is part of the landing?

Note to Developers ... this Objective needs to be clarified.

Otherwise this a super fun game!!

I will try for the torpedo bombers next time.

It says defeat all counter attacks - they all landed on that beach / sand bar at the south west on me - I bottlenecked them with mines and mg nests at the east end of sandbar - but did
not wipe them completely out - but none escaped anywhere
